Release Notes
Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000 Service Pack 4; Windows Server 2003; Windows XP, Windows VISTA
SQL Web Query requires:
Microsoft SQL Server 7 SP2 or later
Microsoft .NET SDK 2.0 or Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2005
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later
Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) -- optional, a portable web server* is also distributed with the project
Microsoft ASP.NET AJAX Extensions (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=77296)
Microsoft ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit – optional, may be necessary for editing some parts of the application (http://www.codeplex.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ProjectName=AtlasControlToolkit)
Download Instructions
Click "Release" tab when you're on the "SQL Web Query" project page.
Click "SqlWebQuery.zip" link under "Runtime Binaries".
Click "I Agree" button if you agree with the project license.
Click "Open" or "Save" the zip file "SqlWebQuery.zip" to your computer.
Extract the zip file "SqlWebQuery.zip". This will create two folders "SqlAdmin" and "SqlWebQuery"
Setup Instuctions
Create an IIS website (either a website or "Application" on an existing site). If you are installing this on Windows XP or VISTA you will only be able to create an “Application”.
Enter a description for your new site. This screen will not be presented if you are installing on Windows XP or VISTA.
Enter the full path and name of the "SqlWebQuery" directory created from the download as the website home directory.
Make sure that the Application Pool's user has Read and Execute access to the directory.
Click "Finish" button.
Make sure the .NET 2.0 is the current ASP.NET runtime. In IIS console, right click the website just created, choose "Properties" option.
Run the website.
Browse the list of the files under the website, right click "default.aspx", and click "browse". That will start the web application.
